Gay Poteet Cae

Gay Poteet, CAE, has a range of work experience in various positions within the nonprofit sector. Starting in 2005, Gay worked as the Operations Manager for BEMA, an association for suppliers to the baking industry. During this time, Gay focused on providing value to members and their customers through communication and services. In 2015, Gay moved on to become the Client Accounting Manager at Support Kansas City, where they managed bookkeepers and ensured deadlines and accuracy for multiple nonprofit entities. In 2016, Gay took on a volunteer role as the Training Team Assistant Chair for the BSA HOAC Shawnee Trails Training Team. From 2017 to 2021, Gay worked as the Director of Business Operations at the Good Samaritan Project, and in 2021, they transitioned to their current role as the Director of Finance at The Family Conservancy.

Gay Poteet, CAE obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English from Montana State University Billings, where they studied from 1980 to 1984. In 2013, they also achieved the Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership.
