Shawn Phillips is an experienced legal and strategic leader currently serving as the Head of External Engagement at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York since February 2007. In this role, Shawn leads the development and implementation of external engagement strategies, fostering relationships with civic, business, academic, and community leaders to facilitate public dialogue on key economic issues. Previously, Shawn held the position of Senior Vice President and Corporate Secretary, advising the executive leadership team on corporate governance and operations. Earlier career roles include Agency Attorney for the New York City Fire Department, further enhancing organizational compliance and EEO policy adherence, and Associate positions at Kasowitz Benson Torres LLP and Anderson Kill, where Shawn focused on employment law and litigation. Shawn earned a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Michigan.
