Evan Misshula

Evan Misshula has a diverse range of work experience in the field of data integration, data science, and research. Evan is currently working as the Director of Data Integration at The Fortune Society, where they are responsible for utilizing machine learning techniques to improve outcomes for clients in supervised release programs. Evan's previous roles include being an Adjunct Professor at John Jay College, where they taught programming languages and graduate statistics to high-ranking members of the NYPD. Evan also worked as a Data Scientist for the Misdemeanor Justice Project, where they designed strategies for comparing data and conducted demographic population estimates. Evan has also held positions as an Associate Director of Research/Data Scientist at the Correctional Association of New York, Senior Data Analyst at The New York City Criminal Justice Agency, and Project Manager at Queens College's Tech Talent Pipeline Residency program. Evan has a strong background in statistical analysis and has been involved in numerous research projects, including a fellowship at the Eric and Wendy Schmidt Data Science for Social Good program. With a wealth of experience in data-driven policy initiatives, Evan brings a comprehensive and well-rounded skillset to their work.

Evan Misshula obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics and Mathematics from Yale University. Evan then pursued a PhD in Criminal Justice at The Graduate Center, City University of New York from 2009 to 2014. In 2013, they had a brief educational experience at the University of Chicago, although the degree obtained and field of study are unknown. In 2009, Evan completed a Data Science Summer Institute at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, earning a Certificate of Completion. Evan also completed coursework for a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Applied Mathematics at Stony Brook University in 2006. Lastly, Evan pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Mathematics of Finance at Columbia University, coming up short of completion by 9 credits.
