Irene M. Aspalter, PhD, is a Principal Laboratory Research Scientist at The Francis Crick Institute since January 2020, where responsibilities include wetlab management, experimental strategy design, and developmental biology. Previously, Irene held the role of Senior Laboratory Research Scientist at the same institution and served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at MRC Laboratory for Molecular Cell Biology, UCL from April 2014 to January 2020. Irene's academic journey includes a PhD in Life Sciences from UCL (2009-2013) and a Master of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of Vienna (2003-2009), complemented by experience as a PhD student at Cancer Research UK London Research Institute and hands-on training as a diploma student at CeMM and intern at Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
