Gomathi Palanikumar

Gomathi Palanikumar has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations and roles. Gomathi is currently working as a Program Manager at The Freedom Fund since March 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Program Advisor at The Freedom Fund from 2021 to April 2022. Before joining The Freedom Fund, Gomathi worked at WeWorld Onlus for a significant period, starting in October 2014 and ending in August 2021, where they served as a Programme Manager, focusing on the South region. Prior to that, they worked at ActionAid India as a Programme Officer from March 2012 to September 2014. Gomathi'sresponsibilities included directly managing multiple partners and their programs, sponsorship, and finance. Gomathi played an instrumental role in building proposals for various campaigns and authored a paper on bonded labor. Gomathi's earlier experience includes working at EveryChild as a Programme Coordinator from April 2010 to March 2012, where they played a vital role in developing programs for strengthening the juvenile justice system and promoting children's parliament. Gomathi also initiated and implemented creative educational programs in multiple villages. Gomathi started their career at BISWA, where they worked as Deputy Manager from June 2009 to February 2010. Gomathi'srole involved developing the operational manual, analyzing the organizational environment, and preparing thematic proposals for institutional donors.

Gomathi Palanikumar completed their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Gomathi studied at the institute from 2007 to 2009.
