Marieke Alberts has a diverse work experience in the field of communication and advertising. Currently, they serve as a Docent in Communication and Advertising at Fontys Hogescholen since September 2021. Alongside this role, they also work as a Freelance creative and copywriter for The Freelance Qommunity, starting in September 2021.

Prior to these positions, Marieke worked as a Persuasive copywriter/UX writer at Trift from March 2020 to March 2021. Before that, they held various roles at L'eau from May 2015 to March 2021. These positions included Senior Creative/Copywriter from September 2019 to March 2021 and Creative/Copywriter from May 2015 to September 2019.

In addition, Marieke gained experience as a Creative at Sunshine and Sausages from January 2014 to April 2015, where they worked on projects for Heineken International labels and Pon Automotive brands. Marieke also worked as a Creative intern at Woedend! from January 2013 to October 2013.

Furthermore, Marieke worked as a Creative Student at Grof Geschut from September 2011 to July 2012, where they collaborated on real client briefings. To start their career, they served as an Intern in Marketing & Publicity at Het Zuidelijk Toneel from January 2011 to August 2011.

Marieke Alberts completed their high school education at NewmanCollege Breda, graduating with a High School Diploma in the field of Cultuur & Maatschappij in 2008. Marieke then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies at Fontys University of Applied Sciences from 2009 to 2013. During their undergraduate studies, they also attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts for a brief period in 2010, focusing on acting. After their bachelor's degree, Marieke pursued a minor in International Marketing at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences from 2012 to 2013. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Strategisch adviseren from SRM in March 2018.
