Erik Klaassen

Erik Klaassen has a diverse work experience in the field of business analysis and information technology. Erik started their career at Nederlandse Spoorwegen in 2013 as a Business Consultant, where they facilitated projects related to the expansion of the OV-chipkaart functionality. Erik then worked at Transavia in 2014 as an ICT Consultant, responsible for integrating a new tool into existing business processes. Erik later joined the Ministerie van Veiligheid en Justitie as a Senior Information Analyst, where they were involved in requirements engineering and process analysis. After that, Erik joined Nederlandse Spoorwegen again in 2015 as a Business Information Analyst. Following this role, they worked at Politie Nederland as a Requirements Specialist, supporting the development of police intranet and internal portal. Erik also served as a Scrum Master during their time at Politie Nederland. In 2020, they worked at Nederlandse Spoorwegen as a Product Owner and Agile Analyst, focusing on the Bijsturingsapplicatie Materieel project. Subsequently, they joined Politieacademie in 2021 as a Business Analyst working on innovative learning tools. Prior to their current role, Erik was a Product Owner Risicokaart at BIJ12, where they contributed to the development of the Risk Map application. Currently, Erik is employed at IVO Rechtspraak as a Business Analyst.

Erik Klaassen's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Bioscience from Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen (HAN) earned between 1989 and 1993. Aside from their formal education, Erik has obtained several certifications in specialized fields. Erik is a Certified Specialist in Unified Process v2003 from IBM and an Oracle9i PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate from Oracle. Erik is also a Certified IT Specialist from The Open Group. In addition to these certifications, Erik has obtained the following additional certifications: Certified LeSS Practitioner in April 2017, Professional Scrum Product Owner I from Scrum.org in December 2015, Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org in February 2015, and IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering from IREB GmbH in June 2013.
