Deborah Ojo is a Graduate Research Assistant at Lagos State University since December 2022, engaging in peer-reviewed research focused on drug design and discovery. With a solid foundation in biochemistry, acquired through a Bachelor of Science degree from Lagos State University, Deborah has contributed to various organizations, including serving as a Data Analyst at Consultants for Healthcare Services Limited, where expertise in data management was applied to public health issues like HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis. Active in professional communities, Deborah is a member of the Biochemical Society, American Chemical Society, and the Sustainable Development Goals Awareness Campaign Tour, while also taking on the role of Assistant Social Media Manager for The Ganglion Initiative, which advocates for educational access for African youths. Previous experiences include research internships at the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research and an undergraduate research project employing machine learning for drug lead discovery.
