Jorge Sepulveda

Jorge Sepulveda has a wealth of experience in the medical field. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Medical Analytics Officer at The GW Medical Faculty Associates since September 2020. Prior to this, they were a Professor of Pathology and the Medical Director of Pathology and Laboratory Informatics at The George Washington University from July 2020. Before joining GW, they worked at Columbia University Medical Center, where they held various roles, including Associate Director of Laboratory Medicine and Professor of Pathology and Cell Biology. Jorge was also an Associate Professor of Pathology and Cell Biology at Columbia University. Additionally, they served as the Medical Director for Laboratory Informatics at Columbia University. Jorge Sepulveda's extensive experience also includes being the Chief of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the Department of Veterans Affairs and an Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Jorge'scareer began at Baylor College of Medicine, where they held the position of Assistant Professor of Pathology.

Jorge Sepulveda's education history includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Baylor College of Medicine, which they completed from 1987 to 2004. Prior to that, they obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Lisbon, which they earned between 1978 and 1984. Additionally, Jorge has two additional certifications. Jorge obtained a Diplomate in Clinical Informatics from The American Board of Pathology in November 2017 and a Diplomate in Clinical Pathology and Transfusion Medicine from the same institution in June 1994.
