Alexandra Keenan has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Alexandra is currently working as a Senior Project Manager at The Giving Block since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Pencils of Promise, where they held multiple positions, including Senior Program Manager, Program Manager for Program Impact, and Impact Coordinator, from May 2018 to present. Alexandra also worked as a Special Project Manager at TED Conferences from September 2021 to June 2022. Before that, they served as a Development Associate/Manager of Midtier Program at Catholic Near East Welfare Association from June 2017 to May 2018. Alexandra also gained experience as a Research Intern at the Mutifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees from September 2016 to December 2016. Alexandra worked as a Special Project Manager at the Graduate Program in International Affairs from October 2015 to December 2016. Prior to that, they were a Placement Officer at the Institute of International Education from July 2015 to October 2015. Alexandra also held a role as a Program Administrator at the Institute of International Education from October 2014 to May 2015.
Before entering the professional world, Alexandra served as a Community Development Specialist in the Peace Corps. Alexandra instructed English as a foreign language, helped women start a local garden for economic independence and improved nutrition, and raised environmental awareness through an NGO in Benin, West Africa, from July 2011 to July 2014. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Admissions Fellow at the College of Charleston from August 2010 to May 2011, where they represented the college and assisted in recruiting prospective students.
Alexandra Keenan completed their Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from the College of Charleston from 2007 to 2011. Alexandra then pursued a Master's Degree in International Affairs at The New School, graduating in 2017. Alexandra further enhanced their education by completing a Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation with a focus on Monitoring and Evaluation/Program Management at New York University from 2018 to 2019.
