Bhongolwethu Sonti

Bhongolwethu Sonti serves as the Africa Program Manager at the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) since November 2023, focusing on sustainability reporting and transparency. Additionally, Sonti is a member of the Board of Directors at The Communiversity of South Africa, contributing to bridging education gaps for students. Sonti has held multiple roles at Trash Pirate as a Non-Executive Director, providing waste management solutions for major events, and at UNLEASH as a Lab Facilitator and Applications Evaluator, working on innovative solutions for the United Nations Development Goals. Previous experience includes leading innovation and sustainability ventures at Plug and Play Tech Center, managing campuses at Valenture Institute, and directing program development at Tore's Foundation. Sonti's educational background includes a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of South Africa and various certificates in public health and design from prestigious institutions.
