Simon Rainer

Simon Rainer serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees for The Lily Mae Foundation since May 2024, supporting families affected by stillbirth and neonatal loss. Currently a Freeman with both the City of London Corporation and The Goldsmiths' Company, Simon has a robust background in the jewellery and event hire sectors. Previously, Simon held the position of Director at Hire Association Europe and Event Hire Association until March 2023, overseeing membership and partnerships, and served as an International Cluster Adviser for the Department for International Trade. As the Founder of Simon Rainer Consulting, Simon specialized in the UK and international jewellery markets from 2016 to 2020, and previously worked as a Consultant for De Beers Group. Renowned for significant leadership as Chief Executive of the British Jewellers' Association, Simon increased membership and revenue consistently. With extensive experience managing distribution networks and major accounts since 1990, Simon holds diplomas and degrees from Birmingham City University and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
