Lee Smith is a seasoned data center solutions architect currently serving as Principal at Mastercard since July 2023, while also contributing as an Executive Leadership Council Member for The Green Grid and as an Education Ambassador for the Nomad Futurist Foundation. With extensive experience, Lee has held significant positions such as Principal Data Center Consultant at World Wide Technology and Data Center Industry Consultant at DataCenterDNA. Lee's expertise encompasses data center strategy, operations, and transformations, having developed critical frameworks and led pioneering projects, including the first Uptime Institute Tier IV Facility Certified data center in Africa during tenure at Standard Bank South Africa. Throughout a distinguished career starting in 1993 with EDS Africa, Lee has consistently driven operational excellence and innovation in the data center domain.
