Tommy Johnson has worked in the tech industry since 2014. Theirfirst role was as a Hardware Engineering Intern at Hughes Network Systems. Tommy then moved on to become the Lead Hardware Engineer at Trexer. In 2014, they also became the Co-Founder of VentureStorm, where they managed the development of a full stack Rails application, implemented a microservice architecture through AWS, built a Python PDF crawler, implemented an automated testing suite with Selenium, and contributed to a Python Machine Learning microservice. In 2017, Tommy Johnson became a Senior Software Developer at The Guestbook, where they led the development of Gopher, a disruptive hotel booking technology. Theirkey roles included leading the development of the Gopher web crawler, the Gopher browser extension, and joingopher.com. Tommy also refactored the entire JS codebase to remove copy/paste code and implement a module system for maintainability.

Tommy Johnson attended Northwest High School from 2008 to 2012 and then the University of Maryland from 2012 to 2016, where they studied Electrical Engineering. Tommy also obtained a Front End Developer certification from VentureStorm.
