Maddie Dowd

Maddie Dowd currently serves as a Family Support Officer for Hospital Outreach at The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association since September 2023. Previously, Maddie held the position of Primary Teacher at Sheffield City Council from September 2021 to August 2023, and was a Trainee Primary School Teacher at Sheffieldscitt from September 2020 to July 2021. Early career experience includes working as a Family Paralegal at Howells Solicitors LLP and various roles at The University of Sheffield, including a Jean Monnet Health Law and Policy Research Intern, Student Manager at FreeLaw, Team Leader at FreeLaw, and Undergraduate Research Intern. Additional experience encompasses customer service and sales positions at Waitrose & Partners and TOPSHOP TOPMAN, respectively. Maddie earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in Law and Criminology from The University of Sheffield, following education at Notre Dame Sixth Form and Notre Dame High School.
