Prakash Shrestha

Prakash Shrestha, Ph.D., is a seasoned data scientist currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at The Hartford since September 2025, and previously held a similar position at Equifax from December 2020 to September 2025, where significant contributions included the development of a cost-saving employee security risk assessment system and advanced multi-data modeling techniques. Prior to Equifax, Prakash worked as a Post-Doctoral Associate at the University of Florida, focusing on Dynamic Information Flow Tracking for improved security solutions. Earlier experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where various data science and security research projects were led, and positions as a Summer Intern at Equifax, Lecturer at Kantipur Engineering College, and Software Engineer at Yomari. Prakash holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Kantipur Engineering College.
