Bishoy Dimitri has a diverse work experience in various healthcare and leadership roles. Bishoy is currently the Director of Clinical Informatics (CCIO) at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since December 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Medical Officer at Lister Hospital starting from June 2022.
Bishoy also holds the position of Q Community Member at The Health Foundation, starting from February 2023. Bishoy has been a Member of both The Institute of Directors and Association of MBAs since January 2019.
In their earlier roles, Bishoy worked at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS FT. Here, they held several positions including Deputy Chief Clinical Information Officer, Clinical Directorate Manager, Doctor in various specialties, and Clinical Service Manager of Critical Care, Theatres, Anaesthetics, Oral and Maxillofacial Services. Bishoy also served as a Clinical Leadership Fellow and contributed to Quality Improvement projects. Their tenure at this organization spanned from July 2015 to December 2022.
Bishoy's experience also includes working as a Quality Governance Fellow at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh from January 2019 to December 2021. Additionally, they co-founded and directed AB Translations Limited, a successful start-up that provides interpreting services across various sectors, from September 2015 to December 2018.
Bishoy Dimitri completed their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) degree in Medicine at the University of Liverpool from 2010 to 2015. Bishoy then pursued further education and obtained an MBA degree from The University of Salford, which took place from 2019 to 2021. Bishoy also obtained a certification as a Clinical Safety Officer from NHS Digital in April 2023.
