Rhona Galt has a diverse work experience in the healthcare sector. Rhona is currently working at North Bristol NHS Trust, where they started in 2015 as a Divisional Operations Director and later became the Director of Transformation. Rhona is currently serving as the Associate Director of Culture, Leadership & Development and has also held the position of Acting Deputy Chief People Officer.
In 2018, Rhona worked at The Health Foundation as part of the Q Community, and at HSBC as an NHS Improvement Smith Fellow, focusing on HSBC UK's Shared Ambition program.
Prior to that, they worked at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust starting in 2009. Rhona held various roles including General Manager, Assistant Divisional Manager, Performance and Operations Manager, and Senior Commissioning Manager.
Their work experience began in 2006 at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as a Graduate Management Trainee.
Rhona Galt began their education in 2001 at the University of St Andrews, where they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Social Anthropology. Rhona completed their studies in 2005. In 2006, Rhona enrolled at the University of Birmingham and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Healthcare Leadership and Management in 2008. During this time, they also obtained a certification as a Practitioner from the Association for Project Management. After a break in their formal education, Rhona returned to academia in 2018 and attended the University of the West of England. Rhona completed their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Human Resource Management in 2021. Additionally, Rhona obtained certifications such as Managing Successful Programmes from AXELOS Global Best Practice in October 2021 and an Assoc CIPD from CIPD in August 2021.
