Sonya Crowe

Health Foundation Improvement Science Fellow at The Health Foundation

Sonya Crowe has an extensive work experience in the field of operational research and health improvement. Sonya worked as a Senior Research Associate at UCL from January 2009 to September 2016. Sonya then served as a Lecturer in Operational Research from October 2016 to September 2018 and was promoted to the role of Associate Professor from October 2018 to September 2021. Currently, they hold the position of a Professor at UCL starting from October 2021.

In addition to their work at UCL, Sonya Crowe also worked as a Health Foundation Improvement Science Fellow at The Health Foundation from May 2013 to present. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Operational Research Analyst at the UK Department of Health from January 2008 to December 2008. Sonya started their career as an Operational Research Analyst at the Government Operational Research Services from July 2006 to December 2007.

Sonya Crowe completed their education in a chronological order, starting from 1998 to 2005. In 1998, they enrolled at the University of Bristol and pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Physics, which they completed in 2002. During their time at Bristol, Sonya also had the opportunity to study abroad in 2000 at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna through the ERASMUS program, where they furthered their knowledge in Physics. Afterwards, they continued their academic journey at the University of Warwick, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Physics in 2005.
