Tony Naples has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Currently, they serve as the Managing Director of Global Cybersecurity Advisory at Cyderes, where they lead a team of consultants providing strategic Identity and Access Management (IAM) advisory services for Fortune 500 organizations. Prior to this, Tony was the Practice Director of IAM and Cybersecurity at Trace3, where they managed a team of consultants and focused on Identity Governance and Administration, Access Management, Data Security, Privileged Access Management, Cloud Identity Solutions, and Behavior Analytics.

Before joining Trace3, Tony worked at Optiv Inc as a Service Delivery Leader and Managing Consultant, specializing in Identity-Centric Security Solutions. Tony provided consultations on IAM Policies and Procedures, Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance approaches. Additionally, Tony built and managed delivery teams, drove sales opportunities, and fostered IAM communities of practice.

In addition to their work in the private sector, Tony also has a distinguished military career. Tony served as a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, holding various leadership positions in combat arms, combat support, and combat service support over 32 years of service. Notably, they were the Organizational Architect for the Implementation of Army Cyber Command and the designer of the Joint Cyber Center for the U.S. Army.

Tony has also held positions at SailPoint as an Engagement Manager, Hewlett-Packard as an Enterprise Account Manager, Oracle as a Professional Services Area Delivery Manager, and Sun Microsystems in various roles such as Global Customer Readiness Manager, Senior Program Manager, Consulting Practice Manager, and IT Project and Engagement Manager.

Tony Naples, MS, PMP, CISM, C-CISO, GSTRT has a strong educational background and multiple certifications in the field of telecommunications, strategic studies, information systems, management information systems, and cybersecurity. Tony obtained an M.S. degree in Telecommunications Management from Oklahoma State University in 2004 and a Masters degree in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College in 2011. Moreover, they earned a Certificate in Information Systems and Operations from the Naval Postgraduate School in 2005. Their undergraduate degree, a B.S. in Management Information Systems, was obtained from Canisius University in 1988. Tony also holds a Masters Certificate in Cybersecurity-Threat Detection from Webster University, which they obtained in 2018. In addition, they have various certifications including Project Management Professional (PMP®) from the Project Management Institute, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA, and Certified Chief Information Security Officer (C-CISO) from EC-Council. Tony also possesses the GIAC Strategic Planning, Policy, and Leadership (GSTRT) certification from GIAC Certifications.
