Arnold Lopez

Arnold Lopez has worked as an alumni coordinator at The Hidden Genius Project since May 2021. Prior to that, they served as a CEO advisory board member for College Advising Corps from January 2020 to May 2021. In this role, they were selected to serve on an advisory council intended to strengthen the relationship between the 900+ advisers from 782 partner schools and the CEO/Founder of the nation's largest college access program. As one of eight council members and California’s regional representative, Arnold shared perspectives, tackled issues/concerns, and developed solutions to make a larger impact on the national organization.

From July 2019 to June 2021, Arnold served as a college advisor at the University of California, Berkeley. In this role, they provided one-on-one advising to undergraduate students on a range of topics related to their academic and professional goals.

Prior to their work in higher education, Arnold was a programs assistant at the Graduate Student Commons from August 2017 to May 2018. In this role, they provided administrative support to the programs team and assisted with planning and executing events for graduate students.

Arnold began their professional career as a Mac Genius at Apple from August 2012 to May 2014. In this role, they provided technical support and training to Apple customers.

Lopez has a Master of Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education, a Master of Business Administration from MIT Sloan School of Management, and a Student Affairs and Higher-Education Administration Certificate from UC Berkeley Extension. Arnold also has a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Sociology from University of California, Santa Cruz and a Technical Communication Certificate from UC San Diego Extended Studies. Additionally, Lopez has an Associate of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Southwestern Community College District and an Associate of Arts in Sociology from Southwestern Community College District. Arnold also has certification from LinkedIn in Excel 2016 Essential Training.
