Laura W. Johnson-Kelly has extensive experience in historical curation, education, and community engagement. The History Center in Tompkins County

The History Center is a generation-to-generation education and research center focused on engaging the public with the rich and diverse history of Tompkins County. The Center helps people use the tools of history to understand the past, gain perspective on the present, and play an informed role in shaping the future. Located in the heart of downtown Ithaca our Exhibit Hall features a regularly changing display of historic objects and panels drawn from our extensive archival collections. Our Research Library and archives are accessible to the public for local history research, and our living history programs engage school groups of all ages.
