Khaled Letaief

Khaled Letaief is a distinguished academic and administrator with extensive experience in engineering and higher education. Currently serving as the Senior Advisor to the President at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) since September 1993, Khaled holds the titles of New Bright Professor of Engineering, Chair Professor, Acting Provost, and Dean of Engineering, with responsibilities encompassing the comprehensive management and development of the School of Engineering. Previous roles include Head of the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering at HKUST, Division Director III on the IEEE Board of Directors, and President of the IEEE Communications Society. Khaled also served as Provost at Hamad bin Khalifa University, fostering research collaborations. Earlier in Khaled's career, a Lecturer at The University of Melbourne focused on teaching and supervising students in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Khaled obtained a Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Science, and Bachelor of Science with Distinction from Purdue University in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering.
