Oliver Giesecke

Oliver Giesecke is a Research Fellow and Visiting Scholar at The Hoover Institution, Stanford University, with prior experience as a Senior Research Specialist at Princeton University and a Senior Quantitative Finance Consultant at KPMG. Giesecke's expertise includes bond, swap, derivative, and option valuation, as well as the design and testing of front office pricing software. Previous roles also include serving as a Risk Controlling Specialist for the Federal Agency for Financial Market Stabilisation during the financial crisis and providing Mergers & Acquisitions advisory at Credit Suisse. Giesecke's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Finance and Economics from Columbia University, alongside studies at Yale University, the Geneva Graduate Institute, Goethe University Frankfurt, and Boston College. Notably, Giesecke was also a high-performance cyclist on Germany's national team from 2006 to 2008.
