Larry Koomson

Larry Koomson is the founder and CEO of Larah Records, an independent record label based in London that focuses on African electronic music since April 2020. In addition to this role, Koomson serves as an Event Partner for Soho House & Co, curating Amapiano themed club parties and performing as a resident DJ. Koomson is also a freelance DJ for The House of KOKO and hosts the Amapiano To AfroHouse Mix Show on BBC Radio 1Xtra & BBC Sounds. Since September 2006, Koomson has been a freelance music producer and DJ. Koomson has held various roles at Imperial College London, including Laboratory Manager and Health, Safety & Laboratory Co-ordinator, while also being a Mixcloud Select Creator from February 2019 to December 2021. Koomson holds a Master of Science in Molecular Medicine and Cancer Research from Brunel University London and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from the University of Surrey.
