Lucy Popescu

Lucy Popescu is a seasoned writer and editor with extensive experience in literary criticism and creative writing. Currently serving as a writer at Lucy Popescu since June 2008, Lucy also holds the position of editor at A Country to Call Home and contributes book reviews to notable publications including The Financial Times, The Observer, and Times Literary Supplement. As a creative writing tutor at City Lit and a mentor for refugees and torture survivors through Freedom from Torture, Lucy actively supports individuals in expressing their stories. Notably, Lucy compiled and edited "A Country of Refuge," an anthology highlighting the experiences of asylum seekers, showcasing a commitment to human rights and empathy. Lucy Popescu's educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in English and European Literature from the University of Essex and a Master's Degree in Modern Drama from North London University, along with various other qualifications in drama and education.
