Casta Childress

Director of Instructional Design and Strategy at The Hunt Institute

After joining us as a consultant in March 2021, Casta Childress took on the role of Director of Instructional Design and Strategy in September 2021. In this position, Casta works with organizations and school districts to support strategic planning and professional development, with the goal of helping to bridge policy to practice. Previously, Casta spent over 20 years serving as a school administrator at the elementary, middle, and high school levels; a licensure specialist at the Virginia Department of Education; and a middle school math and science teacher. Casta earned her Bachelor of Science in liberal studies from Longwood University and her Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix. She is currently completing her doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Virginia Tech.
