Lexy Locklear

Program Coordinator for State Engagement at The Hunt Institute

Lexy Locklear joined The Hunt Institute in April 2022 as a Program Assistant for State Engagement. In this role, Lexy supports the program development and expansion of the state legislators retreat model. Prior to joining The Hunt Institute, Lexy worked at the Rape Crisis Center of Robeson County, serving Indigenous victims of sexual assault and educating communities on sexual violence. Lexy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, with a minor in American Indian and Indigenous Studies, from the University of North Carolina. While in college, Lexy served in numerous advocacy roles at the local domestic violence center and mentored first year students from rural backgrounds. In her spare time, Lexy enjoys reading, writing, and being outdoors.
