Sarah Smizz

Sarah Smizz is a Councillor for Adwick-Le-Street & Carcroft with Doncaster Council and a Labour Party Member. Sarah is passionate about using person-centred, creative methods to enhance democratic and community engagement. Sarah is also the Chair of Health & Adult Social Care Scrutiny. In addition to their role as a Councillor, Sarah works as a Research Assistant at Lab4Living, a Knowledge Translator at Hi-Hopes, a Knowledge Worker at Capgemini Consulting, an Associate Specialist Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University, and in various other artistic and creative roles. Sarah holds a PhD in Fine/Studio Arts, a Bachelor's degree in Radiotherapy & Oncology, and a Master's degree in Contemporary Fine Arts. Sarah is dedicated to public health, active travel, education, access to health and care, housing, and community empowerment.
