Julia Suryakusuma

Julia Suryakusuma is an established columnist and independent scholar at The Jakarta Post, contributing since March 2006. Additionally, Julia served as the Director of the Gender and Democracy Center at Lembaga Penelitian, Pendidikan dan Penerangan Ekonomi dan Sosial (LP3ES) from January 2022 to August 2023. Julia holds an MSc in Politics of Developing Societies from the Institute of Social Studies in The Hague, The Netherlands, where education was completed from 1986 to 1988.
