Josette Smith Scott has extensive experience in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and product management, currently serving as the Head of Product Management and Customer Insights at The Jamaica National Group since September 2008. In this role, Josette oversees the creation, maintenance, and analysis of GIS data for JNBS and provides GIS support across the JN Group. Previous positions included managerial roles as a GIS/Business Analyst and GIS Officer, where responsibilities encompassed strategic planning, budgeting, and advancing GIS technology applications. Josette's career began with a summer internship at the Mona GeoInformatics Institute, contributing to the development of Jamaica's JamNav navigation system. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Geography from The University of the West Indies, and both a Project Management certificate and a Master of Science in Marketing and Data Analytics from the Mona School of Business and Management.
