Sara Yael Hirschhorn

Sara Yael Hirschhorn is a Visiting Professor and Senior Research Fellow at the University of Haifa, serving at the Ruderman Center for American Jewish Studies and the Comper Center for the Interdisciplinary Study of Antisemitism and Racism. Hirschhorn is also a Research Fellow at the Anti-Defamation League's Center for Antisemitism Research and a Fellow at the Jewish People Policy Institute. Previously, Hirschhorn held positions as a Visiting Assistant Professor in Israel Studies at Northwestern University and as a University Research Lecturer/Sidney Brichto Fellow in Israel Studies at the University of Oxford. A former postdoctoral fellow at Brandeis University’s Schusterman Center for Israel Studies, Hirschhorn completed a PhD at the University of Chicago, focusing on the history of Zionism and modern Israel. Educational credentials include a PhD and an M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Chicago, as well as dual Bachelor's degrees in History and Political Science from Yale University.
