Maggie Nash

Maggie Nash has extensive work experience in various roles related to mental health education and support. Starting in 2011, they served as a camp counselor at the Kenilworth Park District. In 2013, they worked as a teacher assistant at Joseph Sears School. Maggie then joined Asphalt Green in 2014, where they worked as a camp counselor and head counselor.

From 2014 to 2017, Maggie worked at Achievement First as a track coach and later as an English teacher and special education services provider. During this time, they also founded and led the Josselyn Center Junior Board, where they organized meetings and fundraisers to raise awareness for mental health.

In 2017, Maggie started working at Josselyn as the Director of Mental Health Education, overseeing youth programming and training AmeriCorp Fellows in mental health first aid. Maggie also became the Camp Neeka Director in 2018.

In 2019, they worked as a social work student at the University of Chicago while also serving as a therapist and youth outreach specialist at Josselyn. Maggie also worked at LEARN Charter School Network as a diverse learning support, providing assistance to teachers and implementing school-wide interventions.

Maggie Nash earned a Master's degree in Social Work (SSA) from the University of Chicago in the years 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Elementary Education and Teaching at Relay Graduate School of Education from 2014 to 2017. Maggie's undergraduate studies were done at Hobart and William Smith Colleges from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a BA degree in Psychology. Their high school education took place at New Trier High School from 2007 to 2010.
