Strategic Committee Member 'Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Observance' at The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change (The King Center)

Ashley Woods has a diverse work experience in the field of museums, exhibitions, and social change. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as an Independent Curator for the Nobel Prize Museum, where they curated the exhibition "A Right To Freedom - Martin Luther King, Jr." in collaboration with The King Estate. Ashley also worked as a Curator and Campaign Manager for Artworks For Freedom from 2018 to 2020, focusing on the development and management of the "Airports To Freedom" campaign, which aims to raise awareness about global human trafficking. In 2019, they became a Senior Consultant for the Permanent Secretariat of the World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates, where they provided their expertise. Ashley Woods has also worked as a Curator and Project Manager for "Making Peace," the largest outdoor photo exhibition of its kind in the world, from 2010 onwards. In addition, they have held roles at the International Council of Museums (ICOM), KidsRights, and the International Peace Bureau (IPB) Geneva. Furthermore, Ashley Woods has been involved with the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change and has served as a strategic committee member for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Observance.

Ashley Woods attended Nottingham Trent University from 1986 to 1989 where they earned a BaHons degree in Photography. Prior to that, from 1980 to 1986, Ashley attended The International School in Singapore. Before that, they attended The International School of Penang (Uplands) in Malaysia from 1977 to 1980. Their education started at St Andrews School in Brunei from 1974 to 1977. No specific degree or field of study is mentioned for the years spent at the international schools.
