Dr. Merav Berger

Dr. Merav Berger serves as the YouthFirst San Mateo Regional Director at Jewish Family and Children's Services of San Francisco since October 2022. With substantial experience as a Jewish education consultant and workshop facilitator since 2010, Dr. Berger specializes in psychodrama and has worked with diverse populations, including at-risk youth and adults with cognitive decline. In addition to coordinating Jewish learning programs at Beth Am Synagogue and The Kitchen, Dr. Berger mentors teens through BBYO and previously directed early childhood education at South Peninsula Hebrew Day School. Dr. Berger holds a PhD in Expressive Arts Therapies from Lesley University and has an extensive background in education, expressive arts, and counseling.
