Aristarichus Kuria Weru has held a variety of roles in the financial services industry, beginning in 2006 with a Business Banking Relationship Manager role at Barclays. Aristarichus Kuria then moved to Equity Bank Limited in 2012, where they held the role of Senior Relationship Manager-Corporate and SME Banking. In 2013, they began working at Standard Chartered Bank in the role of Director & Team Head, Commercial Clients, and later as Commercial Clients Team Leader & Relationship Manager and Relationship Manager. In 2016, they joined Stanbic Bank Kenya as Head of Acquisition - Business Banking, and in 2017 they took on the roles of Principal Founder & Seed Investor and Principal Founder & Exec Chairman at UbaPesa Limited. Finally, in 2018, they became the Founder & CEO of The Kueq unLimited.
Aristarichus Kuria Weru has a diverse educational background. In 2018, they obtained a Certificate from eMobilis Institute in Coding Android Java & Python. From 2009 to 2010, they attended the University of Nairobi and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management. From 1998 to 2002, they attended The Catholic University of Eastern Africa and earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting. In 1997 and 1998, they attended Strathmore University and earned a Certified Public Accountant-1 (CPA-1) in Accounting. Additionally, in 2018 they obtained a Certified Wrong Thinker certification from Future Partners.
