Cherie Woodward has a diverse background with extensive experience in technical content development and documentation. Cherie began their career in 1998 as a Contract Content Developer at CoolText, where they specialized in various documentation formats and provided technical content development for high-tech environments. Cherie also worked as an Information Architect at CoolText. Cherie Woodward continued their career as a Contract Technical Content Provider at W2 Consultant, where they built technical documentation for end users and engineers using various tools and formats.

In 2012, Cherie Woodward joined Cisco Systems as a Contract Technical Content Provider, where they continued to contribute to technical content development. Cherie then worked as a Contract Technical Writer at BBPOS and as a Contract Technical Content Developer at Aerospike, Inc. and minds.ai. In 2016, they joined CounterTack as the Lead Technical Writer before transitioning to Docforce as the Chief Technical Content Officer (CTCO), where they worked until 2020.
