James Pennefather

James Pennefather's work experience includes a diverse range of roles in various companies. James is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at The Lakes Distillery since June 2023. Prior to this, they worked at William Grant & Sons, where they held multiple positions. James first served as the Managing Director of India from September 2014 to August 2019. Later, they became the Managing Director of Africa & Middle East from September 2019 to July 2021, and then took on the role of Regional Managing Director for Africa, Middle East & Indian Sub-Continent from July 2021 to June 2023. Before that, James worked at Diageo, where they held several roles including Group Strategy Director at East African Breweries Limited from October 2011 to July 2014. James also worked as the General Manager at Reserve Brands GB and Sales Director Off-Trade at Reserve Brands GB, among other positions. James'searliest known role was as a Senior Associate at The Kalchas Group from 1997 to 1999.
