Samantha “Sam” Palmer-Shields has a diverse work experience. Samantha “Sam” started as an Administrative Assistant at the University of Miami Center for Ethics and Public Service in 2010 and held this position until 2012. Samantha “Sam” then worked as an Administrative Assistant at Professional Training Centers from August 2012 to September 2012. In November 2012, they briefly worked as an Administrative Assistant - Faculty Affairs at the University of Miami.

In 2013, Sam joined The Launch Pad at UM as an Administrative Assistant. Over time, they worked their way up to become a Sr. Program Manager. In this role, they provided leadership in developing and implementing strategic plans for various programs. Samantha “Sam” oversaw the management and logistics of departmental space and resources. Additionally, they played a significant role in establishing Women Making Moves, a support program for women entrepreneurs.

In 2017, Sam ventured out on their own and founded Island Bloom LLC. However, this venture lasted only from March 2017 to September 2017.
