Brian Olesky has over three decades of experience in forensic investigation and auditing, primarily with The Law Society of Alberta since October 1991. As a Forensic Investigator, Brian has led numerous high-profile cases involving significant financial frauds, including a $60 million Ponzi scheme and a $30 million international investment fraud, managing diverse investigation teams and contributing to over 75 investigations resulting in lawyer suspensions or disbarments. Prior experience as an Auditor/Senior Auditor included conducting compliance audits for law firms and developing risk-based audit programs. Prior to The Law Society, Brian served as a Senior Auditor at KPMG, conducting various audit engagements and forensic investigations. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from the University of Alberta and a focus on International Business and Finance at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
