Kent Fischer is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in strategic communications and media relations within the education sector. Currently serving as the Director of Strategic Communications at The Learning Agency since February 2020, Kent leads a team focused on media strategy, social media, and content creation. Previously, Kent held the role of Communications Director at the National Center for Teacher Residencies, where efforts centered on improving teacher preparation and student achievement. Prior positions include Director of Media Relations and Policy Advisor at Bates College, Vice President (Education) at GMMB, and investigative reporter roles at The Dallas Morning News and The St. Petersburg Times, among others. Kent holds a Bachelor of Science in Newspaper Journalism from Syracuse University.
