Luis Mendoza is a dedicated scholar and active community leader currently serving as a Humanities Research Fellow at the Gould Center for Humanistic Studies, focusing on drug use and trafficking in various media. Luis's experience includes research assistance on the project "Love Letters from James Baldwin," immigration law work as a paralegal at the Law Office of Claudia Sandoval, and as an independent researcher at Claremont McKenna College. Leadership roles encompass positions such as President of QuestBridge, Vice President of ¡Mi Gente!, Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the CMC Model United Nations, and Committee Lead for the CARE Center. Luis is pursuing a dual major in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, and Chicanx Latinx Studies at Claremont McKenna College, after earning an Associate of Arts from James Sprunt Community College.
