WeiShun Liao has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering. WeiShun started their career with Winbond in 2003, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer. During their time at Winbond, they designed and developed drivers for nuvoton pci/usb WIFI cards for Linux and Windows CE platforms. WeiShun also enhanced existing products and integrated USB WIFI cards into embedded systems for IP cameras.

In 2007, WeiShun joined ZyXEL as a Senior Software Engineer. Here, they were responsible for firewall board bring up and ported/developed Linux drivers and applications.

In 2008, WeiShun moved to Inventec, where they continued to work as a Senior Software Engineer. WeiShun collaborated with Qualcomm on Qualcomm SnapDragon evaluation boards for netbooks. WeiShun also ported Qualcomm SnapDragon 82xx series Linux drivers and was responsible for porting Android to the Qualcomm platform.

WeiShun then joined Unimax in 2009 as a Senior Software Engineer. WeiShun'sresponsibilities included developing Window CE applications for mobile IVI systems, such as iPod/iPhone and GPS navigation functions.

In 2010, WeiShun joined Cavium Inc as a Principal Software Engineer. Here, they were responsible for Cavium OCTEON evaluation board bring up and integration. WeiShun also handled BSP release and performance tuning and debugging.

Most recently, WeiShun joined Linksys in 2019 as a Senior Software Engineer. WeiShun'stasks include developing WIFI router firmware, debugging WIFI router issues, and designing Router Application for cognitive mesh networks.

WeiShun Liao completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems, General from Chaoyang University of Technology from 1998 to 2000. WeiShun later pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, which they completed from 2001 to 2002.
