Ingrid Wells has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Ingrid started their career as a Professional Athlete for the U.S. Soccer Federation from 2008 to 2013. Ingrid also played professional soccer for the National Women's Soccer League from March 2013 to August 2013 and for 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam from September 2013 to June 2015. In 2016, they transitioned into the field of nutrition and food policy, working as an Advisor for the Institute for Responsible Nutrition from May 2016 to September 2016. Ingrid also interned with Premier Nutrition as part of their Nutrition Research & Development Team from July 2016 to August 2016. In the same year, they worked as a Food Policy Research Assistant at NYU Langone Medical Center from September 2016 to December 2017. In 2017, they joined the NYC Mayor's Office of Food Policy as an intern from January 2017 to May 2017. Ingrid then became a Nutrition Program Consultant for the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene from May 2017 to January 2018. In this role, they also served as the Project Coordinator for the Health Bucks Program, supporting NYC DOHMH's mission to increase access to locally grown produce for low-income New Yorkers. In 2019, they worked as a Consultant for GSK, focusing on consumer wellness, ingredient, and nutrition research and reporting. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Associate Scientific Director at Lockwood, starting in June 2021.
Ingrid Wells' education history begins with their high school studies at Montclair High School from 2003 to 2007. Afterward, they pursued their undergraduate studies at Georgetown University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and Environmental Studies from 2007 to 2011.
In 2014, Ingrid obtained a certification from TELC- The European Language Certificates. This certification, known as the "Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge: German Level A2, B1 Certificate for Foreigners and Life in Germany Exam," is not specific to a particular institution.
Following their certification, Ingrid pursued a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree with a focus on Public Health Nutrition at New York University from 2015 to 2017.
