Andrew Rakeman

Andrew Rakeman currently serves as Vice President of Research at The Lustgarten Foundation, a position held since April 2020. Prior to this role, Andrew accumulated extensive experience at JDRF International from January 2007 to April 2020, advancing through various positions including Assistant Vice President of Research, Director of Discovery Research, Senior Scientific Program Manager, and Scientific Program Manager. Earlier in Andrew's career, a Postdoctoral Fellowship was completed at Sloan Kettering Institute in 2006-2007. Andrew earned a PhD in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University between 2000 and 2006, and a BA in Biology from Boston University from 1994 to 1998.
