Hiroaki Wada has been a prominent figure at The Mainichi Newspapers since 2001, currently serving as Senior Writer and Editor In Chief of the English-language website. With a robust background in foreign news, Wada has held positions including Deputy Foreign News Editor and Senior Washington Correspondent, covering significant events like the Arab Spring and U.S. foreign policy. Prior to the current role, Wada gained extensive experience as a staff writer in both the Foreign and City News Departments, starting with The Mainichi Daily News in the 1990s.
