Tom Kilpatrick

Tom Kilpatrick is a seasoned outdoor writer with a strong background in adventure sports and outdoor education. Currently serving as a freelance outdoor writer for The Manual and Paddling Space, Tom specializes in website content, technical gear reviews, and buying guides. Tom is also a co-founder of PaddleMore, an initiative promoting various paddling activities. Experience as a rental technician at RED Mountain Resort further enriched knowledge of skiing and snowboarding equipment. Tom's extensive freelance work includes roles as an adventure sport guide and sea kayak guide, complemented by a Bachelor's Degree in Adventure Sports Management from the University of Central Lancashire and additional education in outdoor education and journalism.
