Sarah Labouisse Evans has extensive experience in writing and research, particularly in the field of wildlife conservation and education. Since 2002, Sarah has served as Exhibit and Publications Writer and Senior Writer and Interpretation Specialist at The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, where responsibilities include researching and writing exhibit signage, editing the zoo's member magazine and annual report, and developing educational content for the zoo’s website. Prior to this role, Sarah was a Freelance Researcher-Writer for National Geographic (1992-2003), contributing to various projects, and served as Book Researcher/Writer for Time Inc. (1992-2001), where tasks included researching and writing for Time-Life Books. Early career experience includes working as an Editorial Assistant for National Geographic Magazine (1988-1990). Sarah holds a Master's degree in American History from Stanford University (1990-1992) and a Bachelor's degree in American History from Princeton University (1984-1988).
