Head Of Marketing And Strategic Communications at The Melton Foundation

Ashitha Nayak has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Ashitha started their career at Lighthouse - Storytelling For Change, where they founded a non-profit media enterprise focused on connecting cultures through inclusive and powerful narratives. Ashitha then joined The Melton Foundation as a Melton Fellow, working on social impact projects and eventually becoming the Head of Marketing and Strategic Communications. Ashitha later transitioned to a consulting role, contributing to the foundation's strategic branding and communications overhaul. In 2017, they joined HackerRank, initially as a Technical Content Lead, responsible for creating and maintaining technical assessments and support documentation. Over time, they grew into the role of Project Manager, where they led a remote network of content curators and shipping assessments at scale to Fortune 500 companies. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Project Manager at HackerRank.

Ashitha Nayak completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from B. M. S. College of Engineering between 2013 and 2017. Prior to that, they pursued their Pre-University education, focusing on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology (PCMB), at Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College from 2011 to 2013. Before their Pre-University studies, they obtained their High School Diploma from Carmel School - India in the ICSE (Indian Council of Secondary Education) program in 2011.

In terms of additional certifications, Ashitha Nayak obtained a Nonprofit Marketing & Strategic Communications Certification from Arizona State University in March 2022. Ashitha also completed several courses from the ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation, including NMI 230: Impact Storytelling (Tell your Story Boot Camp) in January 2022, NMI 105: High Impact Leadership in November 2021, NMI 112: Emerging Marketing and Media Strategies in September 2021, and NMI 142: Communicating with Purpose in September 2021.
