Quinlan Melvin has a diverse work experience. Quinlan began their career in 2014 as a Submarine Officer in the US Navy, serving on the USS COLORADO until 2019. From 2019 to 2021, they transitioned to becoming an Assistant Professor of Naval Science. In 2020, they took on a role as a Summer Associate at Redbud Brands. In 2020, they also served as an Officer Instructor at the Naval Officer Candidate School. In 2021, they joined Amazon as a Pathways Operations Manager. Currently, they are working at The Michaels Organization, starting as an Asset Manager in Investment Management, then progressing to Senior Asset Manager, and now holds the position of Director of Investment Management.
Quinlan Melvin completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines from 2010 to 2014. Afterward, from 2014 to 2016, they attended the Nuclear Power School - Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC), where they studied Nuclear Power. Quinlan then pursued an MBA at the Yale School of Management, starting in 2019 and completing it in 2021. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Naval Nuclear Engineer Officer certification from Naval Reactors, the Submarine Warfare (Officer) certification from the US Navy in 2017, and the Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) in 2012.
